Cancer Care and Nutrition
Integrative Wellness Center specializes in developing food plans
that will accompany any protocol, whether conventional
(radiation, chemoterhapy, surgery) or holistic. Our aim is to
educate individuals about optimal health, which depends on
taking personal responsibility for nutritional needs, physical
well-being, emotional/ spiritual health and the mental work
to set our thoughts toward a positive outcome.
Nutrition is only a part of the work that our bodies require.
Our cancer care and nutrition program focus on all aspects
of our life, including our nutrition needs and the relationship
between the quality of our diet and disease prevention.
By becoming more aware of how nutrient-dense food can
have a positive affect on health, we put our bodies in a
place where healing can occur. Nutritional analysis,
cooking classes, educational workshops, detoxifying,
cleansing and other complementary therapies are
available by appointment.

Researchers have been investigating how food choices can help prevent cancer and, when cancer has been diagnosed, how they can improve survival. The findings are nothing short of dramatic.
Did you know… 80% of all illnesses, including cancer, arthritis, chronic fatigue,
fibromyalgia and many other chronic diseases are due to nutritional deficiencies,
according to the National Cancer Institute.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States, causing one in every
four deaths. In 2003, 556,000 Americans died of cancer. The most common types of cancer diagnosed in Americans include
prostate cancer, breast cancer, and colorectal cancer.
Each year 1.3 million people in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer.
